About The Record:
Blue Midnight, by Bert Kaempfert, contains the singles Red Roses for a Blue Lady and Three O'Clock in the Morning. Red Roses for a Blue Lady is a 1948 popular song by Sid Tepper and Roy C. Bennett (alias Roy Brodsky). The song was revived during the winter of 1965 by instrumentalist Bert Kaempfert. Kaempfert's recording peaked at No. 11 on the same chart. It versions was also listed on Billboard?s Easy Listening survey, reaching No. 2. Three O'Clock in the Morning is a waltz composed by Julian Robledo that was extremely popular in the 1920s. Robledo published the music as a piano solo in 1919, and two years later Dorothy Terriss wrote the lyrics. It reached No. 33 on U.S. and No. 10 AC.
