Upper corner tips lightly bumped, former owner's vintage inscription "Happy Easter Honey, Mother" to the illustrated page prior to the text, else near fine in blue waxed linen over color illustrated boards; in a very good dust jacket with several short edge tears, a chip from the lower edge of the front panel, tiny nicks to the upper and lower edges of the inner flaps; original 50 cent price "5050" and publisher's code "40-80" still intact to the front inner flap. De Angeli, twice winner of the Caldecott Honor Book Award for her endearing children's book illustration, was also a Newbery Award winner.
