Item description
AN ORIGINAL CAST RECORDING
LEAVE IT TO JANE
American Entertainment Industries, AEI-1143, stereo.
1985
"This is a stereo
re-issue of the 1959 production. Leave it to Jane, book and lyrics by
Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse. Music by Jerome Kern. This play was
originally released on Broadway in 1917. In 1959, it was revived, with a
group of fresh young players, headed by Kathleen Murray and Dorothy
Greener. Way down in the cast, offering his interpretation of the
character, Ollie, was the new kid on the block, a fresh-faced actor
looking to make a name for himself. His name: George Segal. Liner notes
by Miles Kreuger. The music includes such goodies as: The Siren's Song,
The Crickets are Calling, and the title cut. Other tunes include: Wait
Till Tomorrow, There it is Again, The Sun Shines Brighter, I'm Going to
Find a Girl, and Poor Prune. Director of the 59 revival, Lawrence Carra.
Musical director, Joseph Stecko. Special arrangements for the album,
Art Harris.
This re-issue has been mastered from the original tapes, cut
in 1959. Most attractive front sleeve, with superior colorful artwork
and color photo of one of the stars."
Still SEALED and unopened in the original factory shrinkwrap.
