One of 160 copies printed on Fabriano (Italian) hand-made paper, bound in faux-marble boards.
Ex-library copy: officially discarded from the Burbank Public Library: spine repaired with black binder's tape, hand-lettered in white, front hinge cracked or torn in places, pocket and label to the front endpaper, wear to the shelf edges and corner tips.
Tall thin octavo. 74 pages;
frontispiece portrait drawing of Dr. Richard Lee Mason who made a journey in the late fall and early winter of 1819 from Philadelphia to Illinois, through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
