Item description
Research shows George Barr was a portrait and landscape photographer who worked on Main Street Winona, MN. This serious little girl is dressed in her best, wearing heavy woolen leggings and buttoned shoes. That dark shoulder length hair and those dark eyes make her quite unforgettable. The studio information is embossed on the mat. The back of the portrait is signed with a holiday greeting.(Detail Photo #3) There is a bit of discoloration on the mat and the bottom left corner is damaged. The portrait itself is in wonderful shape for being over a century old. Measures 6.5" tall X 4 1/8" wide.
