The dust jacket does show some marks on it but the pages of the book look as if they were never opened. There is a name just inside one the front of the first page as this was given as a Christmas gift. Although it looks as if they never used it. I think this to be dated 1982 and it shows it was given to this person in 1984. Over all in very good condition. This is a very large and heavy book and the shipping reflects that.
