UP FOR SALE: Stangl Kiddieware Little Boy Blue set plate bowl cup Stangl pottery Nursery Rhyme baby gift vintage Stangl Kiddie Ware 1950 Designer: Kay Hackett Stangl Stopped producing these patterns for the Frederik Lunning NY Company in 1952 and this Kiddieware design was re-worked and offers as a Stangl pattern. The principal changes made to this set were the colors and the shape of the cup. The original #3434 baby cup shape was replaced with the streamlined #3826 (seen above in the photos) baby shape. The colors were brightened and the wide bands on the rims were narrowed and moved to the shoulders of the plates. A narrow Orange stripe was put on the edges of the bowls and the plates. All of the French Green (the original 1950ish Lunning Colors) was changed to Light Blue and Blue. These simple modifications gave the designs a more cheery aspect that seemed to be lacking in the Lunning versions. These changes made the new designs very popular throughout the 1950s and 1960s. This design was discontinued in early 1975. Plate measures 9 inches across, bowl is 5.5 inches across and 2 inches high, and cup is 2.75 inches high.
