Item description

OLD SOUTH CAROLINA CHURCHES by Hazel Crowson Sellers Crowson Printing Co., 1941 Limited Edition of 1500 copies Condition: About Fine This heavy, oversize book preserves the appearance and history of 61 old churches of South Carolina, all built before the Civil War and many of which no longer existed when this book was published 70 years ago. For each historic building, there is a full-page illustration by the author, a short history of the ediface and an appropriate verse or quotation. There is an informative Introduction by Chapman J. Milling. This copy is in Near New condition without a dust jacket; it is copy no. 147 of 1500 copies and is signed by Mrs. Sellers. This scarce book would make a great addition to a collection of South Carolina history and memorabilia. The price on this item has been reduced 20% from my previous price.
