Item description

This is, and I admit very limited knowledge of it, a covered serving bowl and underplate. A total of three pieces and I have two matching sets. The set is by and marked M. Imp. le de Sevres and the mark is dated 1804 to 1809 according to the web site theoldstuff.com. Each set is white with pink roses and greenery, a N in a wreath and an Eagle on all three pieces. The underplate only has the eagle. The handle lid is a gold painted flower bud, and the set is trimmed in gold with two small gold painted handles on the bowl. One oddity that I am pointing out now-which may be due to it being over two hundred years old-each bowl rim is slightly worn with a gray worn look on the inside rim. This is shown in picture 6. The inside rim of the lids also has this gray wear, but I did not photograph it. The underplate measures 9.25 inches across. The serving bowl measures 7.50 inches across the rim by 3.00 inches tall. It is 5.50 inches to the top of the handle and a total of 6.00 inches when placed on the underplate. I do not have a pattern name and the set is dated 1804 to 1809 based on the markings on t he base. I have two three piece sets plus another piece by the same maker in the same pattern. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, discoloration (other than the bowl rim) or other damage.
