Item description

BLADES by George Barr McCutcheon New York: Dodd, Mead Company, 1928. First edition, first printing. 1928 date printed in Roman numerals to the title page, $2.00 printed to the jacket's flap. A young man travels to a remote area along the Canadian border and discovers a community of people seemingly left behind by time. There, half-believing he has been transported back to Pilgrim days, he finds adventure, peace, and love. Well-preserved and presentable collectible. Former owner's name, dated 1928, to front end-paper, a touch of rubbing to the lower shelf-edge, else near fine in black linen with embossed yellow titles and decorative fuchsia rules to the front cover and to the spine, deckle page fore-edges; in a near fine dust jacket with age-toning to the rear panel, a few very short edge tears, and with slight rubbed crimps and very short tears to the upper and lower spine edges, the front inner flap shows a minor crease. George Barr McCutcheon was a popular novelist and playwright most remembered for Brewster's Millions--adapted to several films. PLEASE VIEW OUR STORE FOR MORE GREAT FIRST EDITION BOOKS THANKS!
