DEE BEE CO./ JAPAN VINTAGE 1970'S PLATE - TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT Decorative plate, undated, but an uneducated guess - going by the general look of various aspects - I'd say it could be early 1970's-era... What we have is a slightly bemused businessman finding himself on the receiving end of an offer, with the caveat that, despite any reservations, he may well find the situation - and its denouement - to his liking... Scalloped / decorative shaping around outer diameter area, with gold-tone 'spikes' extending into towards the center an inch or so... The image is in very good condition, with only very light wear, as per age, and with no major damaged areas. The writing is in two quite different fonts, probably showing the heritage and origins of the item, as does the odd-looking businessman, although the artist made a good enough job with the girl, to be fair... Small sticker on the rear of the plate shows 'Ceramic Creations by Dee Bee Co. Japan.' Possibly early 1970's. In very good overall condition, very light surface wear, as per age and 'used' status. White ground, with scalloped edge detailing in goldtone, plus flesh pink, browns, bikini pink and black also used. 7.5" diameter (190mm) approx.
