Item description

"Blue Winged Teal" by David Noll 1989 Louisiana Migratory Waterfowl Stamp Print Artist Signed plus 2 matching 1989 Louisiana Waterfowl Conservation stamps, a resident stamp and a non-resident stamp. A "First of State" duck stamp print! Part of a 20,500 S/N print release published by Sport'en Art, Sullivan, IL in 1989. It's hard to find vintage stamp prints like this one that are still in near mint condition, in their original folders, and have never been framed. Image size of the print is 6 1/2" X 9" and overall size, including the white border, is 12' X 14" About the Artist: David Noll was born and raised in Louisiana. He enrolled in the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts in 1979. A well-known New Orleans artist and teacher once described David Noll as the "poet of Louisiana landscape painters. Over the years, Noll has quietly explored southeast Louisiana's bayous, swamps, lakes and marshes in search of that unmarred beauty of the wilderness and natural landscape. To Noll, his paintings are not only expressions of what he sees during his forays into the landscape but also are expressions of who he is. "I think a lot of what I put on canvas is an expression of my subconscious and is beyond the realm of words and reason," he said in 2013. "I simply never wanted or learned to do anything else, and I thought painting landscapes would be a practical excuse for being outdoors in places I love." Noll is a member of the Louisiana Nature Conservancy and the Gulf Coast Conservation Association. This limited edition print is in near mint condition. It has been stored in our gallery and never framed. It is numbered and signed by the artist. Buy with confidence - every order is shipped with delivery confirmation tracking number.
