Item description

A rare and elegant antique pocket watch by Piaget, featuring a manual wind Swiss movement, engraved with "PIAGET" and early serial number 1359/477, dating it to approximately 1900?1910. This piece is housed in a genuine solid silver case, hallmarked (likely 800 silver), with classic award medallion engravings on the inner lid ? a typical feature of fine watches from this era. Details: Maker: Piaget (Swiss) Movement: Mechanical, manual wind, lever escapement (Ancre Ligne Droite) Jewels: 15 Rubis Serial number: 1359/477 Dial: Original enamel dial with Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o?clock. Slight enamel chip near the 4-hour mark. Case: Solid silver (hallmarked), engraved with exhibition medals and inscriptions Condition: Fully working and winds smoothly. Dimensions: Approx. 50 mm across (excluding crown) Extras: Period-appropriate and well-preserved piece, ideal for collectors. Notes: This is a fine early 20th-century Swiss timepiece from the prestigious Piaget manufacture, offered in working order and with a silver case ? quite rare among early pocket watches. A charming addition to any collection of antique horology.
