Beautiful antique monochromatic etching signed in plate by I.M. Rosenberg, dated 1889 and published by Jelenek J. Jacobson, New York. This monochromatic landscape print features an intricately detailed riverbank scene with tall grasses, trees, and a wooden fence. At the bottom, a subtle yet striking moment is captured?a snake slithers through the grass while a bird, possibly a crow, watches nearby, I believe this to be a trademark of the Jelenek J. Jacobson Printing Company.
Signed in plate by the artist I.M. Rosenberg, though the signature is partially worn and difficult to decipher. Ornate gold-tone wooden frame appears original and complements the period of the print.

Who Was I.M. Rosenberg?
There's very limited public info out there, but here's what I can tell you based on print research circles and known engravers from the late 19th century:
I.M. Rosenberg appears to have been a working etcher or illustrator affiliated with print publishers around New York in the 1880s?1890s, possibly producing fine art or architectural etchings.
Several engraved or etching-style landscape prints from the late 19th century are signed in-plate as ?I.M. Rosenberg? and were published/distributed by print houses like Jelenek J. Jacobson ? that matches this piece perfectly.
They are usually monochromatic etchings or photogravures, often with rural, architectural, or river scenes, and often come in highly ornate frames as this one does.
