Romantic tale, set during the Civil War, based on the life of Nelly Gordon, whose daughter, Juliette Low, was the founder of the Girl Scouts.
Shirley Seifert (1888-1971) was a historical novelist born in Missouri. She is best known for her novels The Proud Way (1953) and The Wayfarer (1938) which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
A fresh copy of this relatively scarce Civil War era novel.
