Item description

This is a very scarce postcard by Frances Brundage. The woman is Evangeline from Longfellow's epic poem of young Acadian woman separated from her young husband, Gabriel, on her wedding day when the British expelled the Acadian people from Nova Scotia. Evangeline spends her life looking for her lost love, only to find her at last on his deathbed. The postcard is from a set of four. It is perforated on the right side. Corner tip wear. Backis unused and has some paper residue. VG condition. Wonderful find for a collection!
