Item description

GREAT WW2 PIECE! Good chance for a collector. Large compas marked "BECK-LEE CORP. CHICAGO ILL", "1942", "4135", "BUSHIPS", and "US NAVY". 11" at its widest and 4 7/8" tall. HEAVY AND WELL BUILT AMERICAN EQUIPMENT. Looks to be brass with original black paint. I am not sure exactly which ship this was on unfortunately. It was built right during WW2.....could have historical significance. Larger compass for a larger ship? WORKS. No cracks or chips in the glass. Still filled with liquid. The arm oscillates as it should. Some worn areas on finish. Scuffs and signs of age. It will be protected well and insured. Location G2, MER
