This Black heavy duty polypropylene strap is approximately 10 inches in length with a loop at each end, a small loop to attach to your hook and a larger twisted loop to fit you hand. The twisted loop is large enough for a gloved hand and the twisted loop always stays open. Strap Dimensions: Length: 10 inches Width: 1 inch Thickness: .081 inches To visualize this thickness, the strap overlap where it is sewn together is just under 1/4 inch thick (.25 inches). You can do the math, .081 x 3 = .243 inches. Compare that to your old strap or your the one your buddy has. This is a thick strap. All the OEM straps I've seen are less than .048 inn thickness, more like ribbon for wrapping a birthday present, than for hanging off the front of your 4x4. This strap is not intended or suitable for connecting your winch hook to a load or for pulling. This strap should only be used to pull your winch hook and cable from the winch.
