Item description

- You Will Get 400 Seeds Of Kohlrabi, Early Purple Vienna Vegetable Seeds. - Annual Vegetable. - Edible vegetable. - 10 to 16 inches tall. - Full sun. - 62 days to mature. - Try something new this year. Kohlrabi is a great vegetable, but not well known. It grows above ground and produces a bulb shaped edible portion about the size of a baseball or larger. Being a member of the cabbage family, it is sometimes called a Turnip Cabbage. - It resembles a turnip, but grows on a stem above the ground and has a milder flavor. Taste and textrue is siilar to a water chestnut when raw or has best qualities of cabbage and turnip when cooked. - To eat, simply peel the leaves off and the outer skin, then slice up and eat fresh or cook. Try this on a veggie tray. Your friends will wonder whan new vegetable you have grown. My kids love it! Delicious! - Note: Harvest at about 2-2.5" across. Do not let it get too big, or they get woody. Comes with planting instructions.
