Item description

1944 WW2 ~ SULTAN'S MAGIC CARPET / AIRCRAFT ARTWORK Associated Press Wire Photo Lt. Gen. Daniel Sultan seen at the controls of his own personal aircraft, Burma / India campaign, 1944. Original photograph, with accompanying typed note giving context to the historical image. In good condition, generally, light wear, as per 75+ year vintage.... The main picture uploaded shows a plastic strip across the picture, for image security, obviously the image is what can be seen in the four close-up pictures Sepia tinted. In good condition. Light wear to two bottom corners. A few light creases, but no torn areas to the image. The typed note is written sideways at the edge of the picture. Pictures uploaded, front and rear, photograph and note, both. 200mm x 260mm approx. Pictures show the actual item. Check the pictures uploaded carefully, they are part of the description, too...
