PHONE LINE SWITCH Originally sold as "data switch" (back in the day when dial up was data!)but is really a phone line switch Switch has three (3) RJ11 connectors on it (standard phone line size, w 6 pins per connector but only 2 are actually used on most phones). Switches the center jack to one or the other A or B jack so it can be used in either direction as an input switcher or device switcher So they are still good for wired phone lines as: select between line 1 OR 2 for a phone or fax machine if you have 2 lines. Use on a single line AS AN ON/OFF SWITCH (plug phone in jack A and then flip switch to unused jack B when you want to turn off the phone, Makes a quick way to turn ringer off at night! easier than going through push button menus) Switch between 2 phones, connect the incoming line to the center jack and a phone to A and a phone to B so you can choose which one is in use. Also Good for a heavy duty project box! change the jacks or wiring as needed for audio,speakers, power, model railroad,led lighting, etc. Quicker than building a box with a switch in it, the work is already done! If you need a simple switch box, you can open and cut some internal wires and tap into them for switching up to 6 conductors (6 pole double throw).
