protective on liver cells, antioxidant, ie. prevent toxic damage to
hepatocytes by free radicals. Artichoke is used for dyspepsia
(indigestion), bloating, nausea, flatulence, loss of appetite, etc. it
is also a cholagogue - it enhances the production of bile.
