The chain is black and is 16 inches long with a 2 inch adjuster. There is a chain near the center that carries two dangling black tear drop shaped beads on each side. The main pendant is shaped like a diamond and is black and it also has a teardrop shaped bead dangling from it. The pendant is metal with openwork and set in large teardrops or marquis set with the smaller end toward the center. It is a delicate and sophisticated piece. I don't know its age.The center drop is 1 3/4 inches. It is signed but I don't know what it is. I am calling this onyx but it could be anything black.
