Item description
Vtg 1970 The Art Of Weaving Else Regensteiner Book
This is a 1970 book called The Art of Weaving. Book is very heavy and contains 186 pages. Else Regensteiner, "the first lady of weaving," according to Booklist, presents this handbook for weavers-beginners or expert. Essential information about looms, yarns, warping a loom, drafting, basic weaves and pattern weaves are included. Many different weave structures are covered: double weaves; tapestry techniques; knotted, pile and flat-woven rugs; and two-and three-dimensional wall hangings.
With her clearly written text, 29 color and 380 black and white illustrations of the steps, works in progress, and finished results, Mrs. Regensteiner not only teaches the techniques of weaving, but also stimulates creative expression.
Book is in very good vintage condition, has a stain on inside cover and cover has a bit of shelf wear. Inside is like new.
My items are shipped from Canada and I use Canada Post - we do not have a media rate or first class shipping as in the US. Canada Post charges by the size and weight of the items. When you receive your parcel, shipping costs do not reflect the 15% HST we have to pay in Nova Scotia on stamps. I do not ship on weekends or holidays as there is no mail service available at Canada Post on these days. Please remember that sometimes items are held up by your country's Customs which can extend shipping times.
Always happy to combine items when possible to save you on postage.
IF YOU PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE ITEM PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I SEND YOU A COMBINED SHIPPING INVOICE BEFORE PAYING. Combined shipping is based on the FINAL WEIGHT of your package - please email me the item numbers if you would like an exact rate for the items you are bidding on. Thanks.
