40s Blue Formal Gown 1940s Long Full Prom and 50 similar items

Vintage 40s Blue Formal Dress - Antique 1940s Gown Lovely gown - full length with doubled spaghetti straps and gathered bodice. Side KoverZip metal zipper. (Kover-Zip exposes no metal except the pull. The "teeth" are fabric-covered! This zipper works well.) Material feels like thin non-stretchy acetate with lining throughout (soft lining, as soft as bed sheets with pink acetate type material at hem (see photo where lining is pulled up and exposed). Bright pink corsages - safety pinned in place on bodice, loosely sewn at hem. Sash ties at back waist. Boning in front bodice. Gown measures: 32" max bust, 25" waist, 58" long. FLAWS: The boning in the front bodice is cracked at the top on one side. Could be taken out and replaced if desired, doesn't affect wear too much. By the bottom hem of the dress I find a fingernail length tear and what appears to be a neat repair - stitches piecing in matching material covering 5". Corsages are fairly out of shape/flattened - not sure if there is a way to reshape. Scattered pen tip/pin size holes along the and near the bottom hem. VERY faint fade (pinkish area) near bottom hem in a couple spots - I had to really search the dress to find these. Price reflects condition of dress which is good for its age but consistent with age.
