Vintage Cockatoo Peacock Bird Brooch Pin White Howlite Stone Cabochon Rhinestones Crested Crowned Head Jelly Belly Natural Semi-Precious Dangling Dangle Charm Figural Exotic Wearable Art Wildlife Nature Silver Tone Silvertone Textured Metal Marbled Oval Domed Shape This is a stunning vintage Peacock, Cockatoo or Bird of Paradise brooch with the body shaped by what I believe is a beautiful milky white colored oval Howlite cabochon with grey veining (although it could be a different stone). The stones have not been tested so I am not able to state that they are genuine Howlite, but I was told they were. Howlite is sometimes called “white turquoise” or “white buffalo turquoise”. It is thought to have calming energies. The head and the crest are accented with clear rhinestones. At the base of the brooch are more rhinestones and a dangling cabochon that matches the one in the body. The round white eye is also Howlite. The brooch is quite large and measures approximately 3 inches tall and 1 inches wide. The stones are set into a silver tone textured backing. This spectacular brooch is in excellent pre-owned condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is not damage of any kind and all the stones are clear, sparkling and in place.
