Two baseball books inspired by notable events in the sport in the 1960s '70s. HANK AARON was written following the 1973 season when Aaron was just one home run short of equalling Babe Ruth's lifetime home run record of 714 and published in May of the following year, just after Aaron broke that record. Back cover stain and some darkening, light bump on front page edges, o/w very nice. THE INCREDIBLE METS celebrated the first World Series win for the once ridiculed "other New York baseball team". Some spine end wear, some lesser edge/corner wear; the interior is excellent. Both books have many b w photos, tight bindings and no writing/markings.
