Item description
DacEasy Accounting Version 4.1, User's/Reference
Guide (1990 Softcover)
Publisher:
DacEasy, Inc. Dallas, TX U.S.A. 1990
User's/Reference Guide for use with the DacEasy
Accounting program, version 4.1. This is a reference guide for
recalling how to activate particular aspects of the program, and a
learning tool for computerized accounting basics. DacEasy Accounting
runs on most IBM PC, XT, or AT computers or compatibles. The software
was widely used as small businesses adopted PCs to operate more
aspects of their businesses. 713pp plus 24pp advertising other
products, supplies and services offered by DacEasy, Inc. We're
selling the manual only, no software included.
There were 7 basic software modules which might (or
might not) be purchased for any particular installation leaving 127
possibilities, given at least one module was installed. This might
have caused the need for different User's/Reference Guides to be
produced for different configurations. The manual has a serial
number to clarify such issues and help expedite customer service
calls.
Over-sized and thick paperback has been used in
operating software but also been respectfully handled. Reading
creases in spine front cover. Creases in covers from poor
storage. Tear in rear cover at foot of spine stabilized with tape.
Glue binding tight except last 2-3 pages beginning to separate from
book. Text has no markings noted except for telephone prefix (or
extension?) for customer service number.
Size: 8vo - over 7 - 9"
tall, 737pp.
Condition:
Good Softcover - Privately owned.

LCCN nor MSR.
Notes on
Condition/Edition ratings:
Fine – means like new, but any
book produced over 10 years ago isn't “brand new” or even “new.”
Booksellers needed some word to describe this...
Like New – A new book, no
marks no damage (except maybe remainder marks or shelf-wear) except
not obtained directly from the publisher or in packaging from the
publisher.
Very Good – How you or I might
take care of a book, closer to “as new” than standard. Might show
ownership.
Good – How someone else might
take care of a book. Also referred to as “standard.” This is the
most likely condition for books of this age title, shows the
book has been read or previously owned.
Acceptable – How a child,
student or a librarian might take care of a book. (Either trying to
make sure
someone doesn't steal it by
plastering ownership everywhere, filled it with copious notes or a
book that has been damaged.)
Poor – Combination of
“acceptable” factors above. Most likely with water damage as
well. Might have
missing pages (you should ask).
Near – Means “almost” in
an optimistic sense. e.g., “Near Fine” means very good, but on
the high end.
1st
Thus
– Unique somehow, maybe 1st
paperback,
new illustrator, misprint or even the 1st
edition.
A collector
might desire this copy.
Thanks
