Its from the time of French Revolution. Before Napoleon became an emperor. Donizetti was not born yet. Rossini was 8 years old. Beethoven was 30 years old. The violin has a deep, mature and warm sound. this awesome old violin allows you the most complete repertory. It comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY! It looks splendid despite its old age. Simply amazing. The top is made of two parts of spruce, and shows regular grain lines. The back is made of two parts of flamed maple, the curl horizontal. The ribs and head are of the same wood. The head has been beautifully grafted on a new neck. The instrument shows a great character, with long f holes. The violin is covered with a brown varnish on a golden ground. The violin is in a good restored condition, with many repairs on the top, and one at a peg on the head. The head shows pegs bushings. There is a wood pattern on the back at soundpost place, (not a soundpost repair). The violin has been entirely revised and set-up, including a new tailpiece, a new chinrest, a new Despiau bridge and a set of Thomastik Dominant strings. The boxwood pegs are old. The instrument comes with a new rectangular case of quality. A wonderful instrument for a sophisticated collector, an experienced musician, a special gift to your loved one or an upcoming musician.
