Item description
Vintage original 11x14 in. U.S. lobby card from the silent film serial A LASS OF THE LUMBERLANDS, released in 1916 by the Mutual Film Corporation and co-directed by Paul Hurst and J.P. McGowan. Silent film serial queen Helen Holmes stars in this 15-chapter action/adventure serial that was filmed in Humbolt County, California. It is from Chapter 7 which was entitled The Runaway Car and depicts an interior long shot inside of a cabin as one of the lumber mill workers complains to their boss about the food they are given to eat while the rest of the men look tense. The caption at the bottom reads: "The grub is rotten."
It is in fine+ condition with one pinhole in each corner and one in the center of the top and bottom borders (the bottom pinhole straddles the edge of the image area) and an area of surface paper loss in the top border near the right corner.
