Item description
1880s Bearded Old Man of the Woods Queen Anne by LaBelle 32 Ounce Pitcher EAPG Mint Condition
Bearded Old Man of the Woods 32 Ounce Pitcher Queen Anne Pattern by LaBelle Glass Co
Made in Bridgeport, OH. circa 1880. Also known as: Bearded Man, Old Man, Neptune, Old Man of the Woods, Santa Claus. This pattern was designed for LaBelle by Andrew H Boggs and has the patent number 12,006 (November 2, 1880).
ABSOLUTELY MINT! No flaws, chips or cracks. As the piece is 137 years old, we believe the "scratches" you see are from the cooling process of throwing a hot piece into a bed of straw to cool. The piece exhibits the usual bubbles in the glass and are another indication of the the age of this beautiful, hard to find, piece. Substantial, timeless, functional as well as highly collectible.
