The ring is about 20 or 25 years old. The blue Topaz is as blue as the Carribbean. The stone is a pear shape. The top of the stone is flat and the sides have faceted cuts in a diamond shape. This ring was designed to have an old, estate look, but it is not your Grandmother's ring. The setting is beautiful and the Topaz is one of the more beautiful hues. It is a size 8 although a snug 8. The topaz is one millimeter to the tip of the stone and 1/2 millimeter wide. In profile the setting is 1/2 millimeter tall. Don't let this little ring fool you.
