Vintage Lobster Brooch Pin Pendant Bat Ami Israel Electroform Silver Wearable Art Handmade Hand Crafted Israeli Fashion Designer Tel Aviv Lightweight Electroformed 825 European Sterling Three Dimensional 3D Sea Life Marine Ocean Seafood Restaurant This is a piece of wearable art created by Bat Ami in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Lobster is quite large and measures approximately 3 inches long and 2 inches wide. It weighs .90 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 25.51 grams. It is signed on the back “Bat Ami” and marked “825” for Sterling Silver in the European ratings. Bat Ami is known for their technique called Electroforming in which pure silver is layered over a handmade resin form to create a unique piece of jewelry. The Bat Ami brand was developed in the 1960s. Today they are sold worldwide and are featured in international jewelry shows and in fashion magazines. The Lobster is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It can be worn as a brooch/pin or as a pendant on a chain or a slide on a choker. It has a large loop on the back. The trombone C style clasp is nice and secure. I have taken pictures of it showing the various ways it would appear when being worn. THE CHAIN IS NOT INCLUDED. It has a lovely shine with a few small spots beginning to show some patina forming. I did not polish it, I will leave that up to you if you so desire.
