Basepump RB750-AVB with Back-flow Prevention Vacuum Breaker This is a water powered back-up sump pump. It eliminates some risks that a battery powered pump has, plus you don't need to replace batteries every several years. It runs off of your city water supply, and draws one gallon of water from your supply for every two it pulls out of your sump, then dumps all three outside of your house. All standard models of Basepump are designed to prevent that from happening, but some authorities require a separate "approved" device be installed to protect the water supply.
