The first edition (first printing) was in the early part of 1960, coded 1960A-1. Original 20-chapter text. It is valued in the most recent Farah's Guide at a $125.00 value when both book and jacket are in "very good" condition. #37 in the series. Author was Harriet Stratemeyer Adams, writing under the Stratemeyer Syndicate house pseudonym "Carolyn Keene." Very good book with some spine sunning. No writing/markings. Good hinges. Page block is slightly dust-discolored. Lovely collectible blue/white multipictorial endpapers. Very good dust jacket with some wear, particularly at the spine top and bottom. Unfortunately, there's a some sticker residue on the middle of the dust jacket front. Front flap has the #37 plot summary. Rear flap lists to itself, and the jacket rear lists to Dana Girls Bamboo Bird. Now protected in removable mylar covering. ND37rg
