Item description
SAD SACK AND THE SARGE original comic book art
Large 12-1/2" x 19" original comic book art, Page 1 (whole comic page 10) from the story titled Sad Sack and the Sarge in "Slight Misunderstanding" from Sad Sack and the Sarge #81 published by Harvey Comics, April 1970
Fred Rhoads (October 17, 1921 ? February 26, 2000) was an American cartoonist best known for his contributions to George Baker's Sad Sack. Created by George Baker, ?Sad Sack? originally focused on the misfortunes of a bumbling GI in World War II, shifting to civilian struggles in the postwar years. Rhoads took over in 1954 and drew ?Sad Sack? for 23 years, expanding its cast of characters. He drew ?Sad Sack? until 1977.
The original art is complete and in FINE condition with some wear to bottom edge of the board. The comic book is shown for reference and not included with the art. (see pictures)
