The VTG JENELLE OF CALIFORNIA Rust Double Chiffon Nightgown Robe Peignoir is a vintage piece from the 1960s I won this at an estate sale, site unseen. I have never won anything except a tackle box! When this was presented to me, my heart was pounding Until I unwrapped the bundle The chiffon robe was perfect, but the gown..... Had runs snags, the only salvaged parts were the lace braided trim. I very gentle removed the chiffon on the gown to use as pattern pieces The nylon underskirt, other than being dirty was intact After months months of fabric stores and purchasing swatches I found 2 perfect matches of the chiffon I gathered all pieces together met with my alterations women She created an exact replica of the nightgown, I was thrilled at the job she had done So here we have a vintage flowing chiffon robe new nightgown There was no size tag, please compare the measurements with something you own The robe is free of holes, snags or fraying. I do not even see any imperfections which is a wonder compared to the nightgown. It has a large lace puritan collar with braided trim. Sleeves hem also are trimmed in warm beige lace The new nightgown in a modest sheath style is fully lined in the original soft, silky 60's nylon Large arm holes and the back mimics the front. Braided trim around the scoop neckline and warm beige lace Would I do this again? Probably not, but I'm glad this is done, well worth it! ROBE: underarm across: 23", raglan sleeve: 16" with 3" lace, length: 55" longer than the gown as it should be, with a circumference of 82" Lace feels new, still has body NIGHTGOWN: underarm across: 22", armhole 14" around, length: 52" and a circumference: 58" All measurements are taken laying flat and are approximate.
