Occasional feeding with live insects is recommended by not required with this diet. How much should I offer my gecko per feeding? It depends on the age of your gecko. Most Juveniles should receive about 1/16th of an ounce or a dime size portion. Subadults should receive 1/8th of an ounce or a nickel sized portion. An adult should receive a quarter to about a half ounce portion. Why shouldn't I freeze the diet to help it last longer? The ice crystals that form during the freezing process can potentially damage the cell walls of the plant ingredient contents and reduce the overall nutritional value of the diet. Why does the unrefrigerated prepared feed expire after a day? The prepared feed can be compared to a fruit smoothie.
