Item description
#APRAZKA
Canna Bird of Paradise
1 rhizome - 2-3 eyes size, ships bare root with foliage trimmed.
Grown for it's foliage, this 7' canna has bright pink blooms. The 2' spear shaped leaves are slate blue-gray with purple veins mid-vein, contrasted by a bright almost neon purple pin striped edge. Resembles a Cordyline spike in containers..
Cannas are winter hardy in zones 7 and above. In cooler climates, cut off the foliage and dig up the rhizomes in the Fall after the plants have been blackened by frost, shaking off the soil. Store them in barely dampened peat moss or shredded newspaper in a frost-proof place (basement or garage). They can be planted out as soon as the ground has warmed in the spring.
