Vntage electric Sears Scholar typewriter is being offered at auction. --- The typewriter has one mechanical problems for certain. The typewriter turns on run smoothly types well. What is not working is the carriage return? It appears that the small plastic gear arm or the geat itself may be broken. You can return the carriage by hand and keep on typing.
It's a nice machine, types smooth and is now loud, I feel certain some in the business could fix it cheap and make a nice profit.
