Item description
(2) Two Antique Cabinet Card Photographs. Depicting Daniel C. Dunkley and his wife Amelia Purkins Green. Photo of Amelia taken by Kenyon's Photo Rooms in Providence, Rhode Island. Measure approximately 4.25 x 6.5 including mount. Condition: These are original photographs, not a copy or reproduction. They are in very good condition. Comments: Daniel C. Dunkley was born May 30, 1937 in Haverhill, New Hampshire and died October 22, 1920 in Chelsea, Massachusetts. He was the son of Moses Dunklee/Dunkley (1799-1867) and Lucy Whitcher Jeffers (1808-1899). Daniel was married to Amelia Purkins Green on November 28, 1865 in Providence, Rhode Island. Amelia was born October 26, 1842 in Providence, RI and died November, 1916 in Providence. She was the daughter of John Tillinghast Green (1818-1890) and Martha Whiting Spelman (1817-1889.) Daniel and Amelia had at least three children including Alice Dunkley (1866-1897), who married Elwin John Kenyon; Helen Dunkley (1873-1874); and Herbert Dunkley (1873-1874). Helen and Dunkley, who may have been twins, apparently died in childhood. Alice and Elwin had at least one child, Harold Elwin Kenyon (1887-1972) who married Eleanor Louisa Woodbury (1888-1944). Additional genealogical information will be provided with the purchase of this photo.
