Vintage 1970s Avon 1876 Cape Cod Ruby 10.625" pie plate in excellent condition, great color and absolutely no damage. May be some very minor wear consistent with light to normal use. This item should be treated as more of a server because it is clearly embossed on the bottom "NOT FOR OVEN USE". HISTORY NOTE: The 1876 Cape Cod is named after the year the Boston Sandwich Glass Works was founded in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Wheaton Glass and Avon partnered in 1975 and this collection was inspired by the classic Sandwich Glass pattern produced by Boston Sandwich Glass Works. This was said because some sellers, intentionally or not are trying to pass these off as antiques actually having been made in 1876, when, in fact, they were not.
