Carved Soapstone 3 Elephants and A (1) Pig China Vintage 1940s Figures Collectible. Smoke Free. Great grouping of figurines! Hand carved and nice! Aprox 2.5? x 3? and 2? x 2.5?. Pig is aprox 1.75? x 2.5?. My friends dad brought these and others back from china in the 1940s at the end of WWII / WW2. My friend loved them as he was an artist and appreciated the hand work and creativity that went into each piece. He passed suddenly and I?ve been trying to get this collection up for sale. It?s heart wrenching as we were true best friends. I?m hoping each piece goes on to someone that will love them as much as he did! None of his pieces had any kind of label but rather most had China scratched into the stone on the back or bottom. I found that interesting.
