Vintage 40s 50S semi formal dress w/ bolero and similar items

Lovely very vintage dress and bolero style jacket from a local estate clothing collection. Dating this dress and jacket to 1940's/early 1950's era based on the Conmark zipper style and also the ages of the young ladies (sisters) who owned the dresses at that time. Very likely this was a young woman's school semi-formal dance dress. It does not have tags. Made of a shiny black material which I think is likely acetate, or a similar fabric. Has tie top spaghetti straps, and cut low in front and back, but then covered by a chic little bolero style jacket. Both the dress and the jacket have black dressy beads. The dress is meant to be worn with the jacket, because it has tiny snap in the front that snaps the jacket to the dress. The bolero style jacket has snaps and also hook/thread loop eye closures. The metal zipper is a Conmark zipper. It works well. Zipper is on the side. I did snag it once a while back when I was putting it on a mannequin to inspect it, and the zipper caught on the material because I wasn't careful enough. When I got it loose it made a tiny side snag on the little piece of fabric that covers the zipper. Not very noticeable but I did show a photo of it. The dress has not been hemmed in many years so it will need to be hemmed. It has a pretty bodice, with figure flattering darts. If you look closely at the seams on the front, you can see where a couple have been let out - likely the second sister to wear it needed it let out. The dress has a full skirt, perfect for dancing. There is a spot of whitish marks on the front in one area. They aren't glaring and they are where the skirt is fuller, so that helps camoflage the flaw. This is a pretty garment and will be even more charming when hemmed and pressed. It has some extra little touches, like a piece of inside netting across the inside front to shield the backs of the beads from being against your skin. Also the little jacket could be worn with other items. I think the jacket looks good whether you just use one snap or close all the closures. Measurements - I measured it while on the mannequin. The underarm to underam measurement across the front is approx 15.5 inches. The waist is approx 14.5 inches across. Hip area is approx 18 inches across (full skirt). The dress itself has a low back, so I put the jacket on and measured from the top of the jacket to the bottom of the hem down the middle back is approx 41 inches. Of course after it is hemmed you will lose a little length. Buyer to pay shipping. I will package carefully in a box and ship promptly.
