This print is from the extremely limited colorized variant set of Universal Monsters fine art lithographs, the print is signed by hand by Ross and is individually numbered out of only 150 produced. Again, only one hundred and fifty were produced! It measures 18 by 24 inches, features a white border with Ross' hand-signed signature and number designation, is in nm/mint and undisplayed condition, and will be shipped with the utmost care. It includes its original Certificate of Authenticity. This particular print features Elsa Lanchester as the Bride, Boris Karloff as the Monster, and Ernest Thesiger as Doctor Pretorius in the 1935 film Bride of Frankenstein. While she only appeared on screen as the Bride for a few short minutes, Lanchester?s conical hairdo ? and its signature lightning-streaks ? are iconic symbols of both the character and the film and are widely parodied in later films and other media. Ross captures the terrifying last few moments of the film as the Monster, now hopeless after being rejected by the Bride, destroys the tower in hopes of forever ending his lonely suffering.
