Italian Venetian Polychrome and Ebonized Wood Blackamoor Table Stand circa 1870 An antique Italian Blackamoor pedestal table stand, crafted from lacquered wood, featuring a kneeling Nubian figure that supports a round, two-tiered tabletop. The figure is rendered with intricate detail, highlighted by expressive inlaid mother of pearl eyes and teeth, lending a lifelike quality to the piece. Depicted in a crouching pose, the figure gracefully bears the table's weight. Note the meticulous carving of both the figure's anatomy and the draped fabric around its waist. This rare table has a circular inlaid wood top supported by a finely carved crouching blackamoor figure with fringed drapery.
