Item description
This is the first album by Seattle?s premier folk artist whose music is a diverse mixture of urban acoustic, gospel, Latin rhythm, blues and even some Celtic. Often compared to such artists as Ritchie Havens, Bill Withers, even Buddy Holly, he is a firmly independent writer and interpreter who emphasizes the connections between blues and folk. His band, The Snake Oil Peddlers are very popular in the Pacific Northwest, and their fame is growing every day. Garrett has recorded five studio albums that boldly refuse to fit in any single category. This album is the first of a hopefully long and decorated career that will very likely soon be recognized for the greatness it deserves. Includes a great version of Neil Young?s Mr. Soul.
