Item description
Lounge: Seriously Good Music CD 2006 Petrol/EMI Holland Import, Compilation. This collection of lounge music starts with German flutist Lenny Mac Dowell?s version of Bill Withers? 1971 classic Ain?t No Sunshine. Taken from Mac Dowells album Locomotive Breath album, it has a backdrop of natural sounds combined with the guitar/flute blend that is great with its background of thunder, rain, and smooth vocals. The song creates a whole new treatment for the timelessly classic song and is a great starting point for the rest of the album. Beach Ball by the hugely popular Mexican band LemonGrass flows gently into the compilation next, and from there it just gets better. Highlights include: Dino Safos? Breathe Sunshine, which became the dance anthem for the Dance4Life AIDS awareness organization, Rouge by the Spanish rock band La Frontera, which sounds almost like early Roxy Music, Cantoma?s Essarai --which is actually
Phil Mason, one of the pioneers in the Balearic music scene and Ibiza?s Cafe Del Mar. Made in Holland, this is a great collection of breezy and seriously good music.
