THE WINGLESS VICTORY:
A Play in Three Acts
by Maxwell Anderson
Washington D.C. Anderson House, 1936.
First edition.
Fair to good minus, with heavy soiling and staining to grey covers, lower corner of textblock also shows a small patch of stain which affects the margin of nearly every page, obscuring no text; lacking dust jacket.
Verse drama dealing with racial prejudice in early 19th century Salem starred Katherine Cornell in its 1936 Broadway debut, directed by Guthrie McClintic and designed by Jo Mielziner.
This copy inscribed and SIGNED by Anderson to the front free endsheet.
