Item description
Up for sale is a Kelvin White Constellation Boat Compass 5" CB12311 12V Black with nice clear unscratched glass.
The manufacturer indicated on the dial says Wilfrid O. White and Sons, Inc. New York-Boston-Baltimore. It appears the light cables were cut just where they exit the housing when the compass was removed but all the electrical components are present including at least one bulb which can be seen above and thru the glass in the top housing. I have not tested the lights as I am not a compass expert. It appears that the compass should release from the housing with a pull on a spring loaded pin at the front of the housing. Pull the pin and the compass is free of the housing but hangs up after moving upward 1/8". I assume there is some trick to full removal and I was unwilling to force it out so didn't proceed any further.
